Esopus, Ulster County - Scenic Hudson uses this property as an outdoor classroom for our Environmental Education Program, teaching hundreds of children annually about ecology and environmental ethics.
The 570-acre park is managed under an agreement between our land trust, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the West Esopus Landowners Association.
Deer, foxes, coyotes and wild turkeys roam this property in the Marlboro Mountains. Louisa Pond atop the ridge abounds with osprey, waterfowl and beaver lodges. |
