"Signs of Spring" Guided Walk at Scenic Hudson's Madam Brett Park

(BEACON ) - Families and other friends of nature are invited to join Scenic Hudson staff on Sunday, March 19, at 1:30 p.m. for a free guided nature walk at Madam Brett Park in Beacon. The theme of the two-hour outing will be looking for signs of spring. Named for Beacon founder Catharyna Rombout Brett, this 12-acre park is managed in partnership with the City of Beacon and located at the mouth of the Fishkill Creek where it meets the Hudson River.

Participants should dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring water and a snack. The walk will start and end at the Madam Brett parking area.

Directions to Scenic Hudson's Madam Brett Park: Crossing Newburgh-Beacon Bridge (I-84) from west to east, turn right on Route 9D south. Proceed 2.2 miles. Right on Tioronda Avenue. After 0.7 miles, turn left and go right under railroad overpass. Parking area on left.
