Community Waterfront Forum in Yonkers

Scenic Hudson seeks residents' ideas for creating vibrant Yonkers waterfront

(YONKERS, New York) - Scenic Hudson invites Yonkers community members to attend a community forum about how to create an environmentally, economically and socially vibrant Yonkers waterfront. Scenic Hudson seeks ideas from residents and also looks to outline its community-based goals for the waterfront.

The forum -- "Shaping a Vibrant Yonkers Waterfront" -- will be held Thursday, Aug. 17, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Yonkers Riverfront Library Auditorium. The library is at One Larkin Center in downtown Yonkers.

Principles of successful waterfront development (including building heights)
Daylighting the Saw Mill River
Public participation
Affordable housing
