Join the Hudson Valley Smart Growth Alliance and endorse the HVSGA Smart Growth Principles.
Urge your town or village to become a Hudson River Valley Greenway community. Attend meetings of your local town or county zoning and planning boards, and participate in community visioning and land-use planning activities. Call for your municipality to carefully plan development so that it does not detract from the quality of life in your community. In addition, choose to live, work and shop in established cities, towns and suburbs.
